UK-France-Germany- 1st rehearsal (videos)
UK
The United Kingdom entry is brought to us by Josh Dubovie and is called That sounds good to me. The lights in the back of the stage first form a Union Jack flag. There is a costly looking backlighting podium on the stage. The three female backing singers stand on the highest part. Josh steps out from under the podium first, and there are two male backing singers crouching in the sections under the podium and then flank Josh on stage. The guys also step a bit up the podium steps and Josh walks all the way across the podium. The backing singers have white fabrics attached to their hips, which they wave around with the wind machines catching on them. Underneath they have black mini dresses.
The performance, the dancing and the vocals are well rehearsed now and the latest version of then backing track, different from the one one on the official CD.
FRANCE
What is France looking in the Eurovision with this…..i cant even say it. Its horrible, its like an amateur singer singing nothing. The voices are not even in the metric of the song. Jessy thinks he is in some kind of club having a gig with 500 euros. The dancers are pathetic. I am dancing much better. Gimmy a break France..plzzz
GERMANY
The German song comes from Lena Meyer-Landrut and it is called Satellite. The stage has hanging strings of baubles and a dark blue and turquoise colour scheme. Lena is in a black tight-fitting dress and black stockings tonight. Her four female backing singers repeat the style and do a bit of choreography with their hands and a bit of dancing. That is all of the show element for the German song, where the camera is mostly concentrating on Lena doing her little dance mid-stage.
This is a very modern pop song, that will not feel out of place on music television channels and Lena is giving a very charming and vocally confident but understated performance of Satellite.
